• Contractor Mobilization and Site Establishment: Contractor has mobilized adequate man power and construction equipment. Infrastructure works are in advance stage of completion. Machinery, batching plants, and crusher plants are being installed/erected. .
• 33 KV Transmission Line: Stage-II forest clearance obtained on 30.01.2026. Physical progress is about 52%.
• Approach Roads: Subgrade and culvert works on Roads 1 ( Daudhan Dam to Bhusor Gate – 6.715 km) and Road 2 (Bhusor Gate to NH 39 at Bamitha – 13.883 km) largely completed. Construction of Road 3 (4.5 km) and Road 4 (18.34 km) could not be started due to land acquisition issues which are being pursued.. Physical progress is about 24%.
• Office and Residential Complex:work in different buildings is at different stages. Generally, Foundations and plinth-level works have been completed; superstructure works in progress. Overall progress is about 17%.
• Coffer Dam:Closing of the periphery of coffer dam has been completed. Raising of the embankment level and it strengthening is under progress (Progress is about 76.59%)
• Concrete Dam and Spillway: Foundation excavation of Dam blocks 1 to 9 completed and is under progress with progress of 4.25% in dam blocks from 10 to 48. About 3.00 lakh cum quantity of foundation excavation is completed. Concreting in Dam block 1 to 5 has commenced from 21 May 2026.
• Approach Channel and Upper Level Tunnel:Excavation of approach channel for upper level tunnel and lower level tunnel is under progress and about 20% excavation of approach channel completed. Construction of outlet portal of upper level tunnel has started with wiremesh installation and shotcrete works currently in progress. Achived tunnel crown level-EL-262 mts till now this month 2880 cum excavation & installation of SDA, wiremesh and shotcrete is under progress.

Tender Document Preparation: The Steering Committee of Ken-Betwa Link Project (SC-KBLP), in its 8th meeting approved EPC tendering for the Ken-Betwa Link Canal in two packages i.e. Package-1 from Upper-Level Tunnel outlet (Beyond scope of EPC contract of Daudhan Dam) to near River Dhasan and Package-II from the River Dhasan to outfall at Barwa Sagar dam. The tender documents for both packages after approval of Technical Advisory Group (TAG) and Tender Evaluation Committee (TEC) has been submitted to the Ministry for approval on 22-04-2026. The Government of India issued the Mother Sanction for Land Acquisition (LA) and Rehabilitation & Resettlement (R&R) on 15.06.2026. In continuation of the same, Administrative Approval was also accorded on 15.06.2026. All necessary actions related to Land Acquisition are currently under process at the administrative level.
